Our take: Over 9 days of tracking, we've seen this price range from $37.79 to $43.99, though with a smaller review base (15) — worth a quick look at recent feedback before buying.
Wire-free, magnetic, motion-activated lights that install in minutes and run for weeks per charge — ideal for kitchens, closets and stairways where you cannot run power.
These EZVALO bars solve a common problem: you want light under kitchen cabinets, inside a closet or along a staircase, but there is no outlet and you do not want an electrician. Each 12-inch bar has a built-in 3200mAh battery, sticks up with a magnetic mount (a metal plate with adhesive goes on the surface), and pops off to recharge over USB-C.
The motion sensor turns the light on as you walk up and off after you leave, which is what makes the battery last. Buyer reports generally land somewhere between two weeks and six weeks per charge in motion mode, depending on how busy the spot is. Brightness is dimmable with three color temperatures, so you can pick warm light for a living area or cooler white for task lighting.
The trade-offs are typical of battery lights. They are bright enough for counters, closets and hallways, but not a replacement for proper overhead lighting in a large room. The sensor will not see through glass doors, recharging takes a few hours, and a wall adapter is not included. Some owners mention batteries holding less charge after about a year of heavy use.
What we like
No wiring — magnetic mount, installs in minutes
Motion sensor stretches battery to weeks
Dimmable with 3 color temperatures
USB-C charging
Watch out for
Not bright enough for large spaces
Sensor does not work through glass
Wall charger not included
Best for: Renters and anyone lighting cabinets, pantries, closets or stairs without running wires.
Skip it if: If you want permanent, always-on lighting — a hardwired LED strip is the better long-term choice.
